In preparation for the goal review meetings beginning on May 28, attached are the consolidated drafts of the objectives, strategies, and metrics. When finalized, these will become the foundation of our division’s strategic plan. The plan will establish an organizational framework that will ultimately aid the division in its efforts to provide excellent customer service, create a better work environment for our staff, and improve our work-related performance. The plan will also help guide our short term operational/tactical unit plans and initiatives and will allow us to focus our improvement efforts in a handful of areas. With that in mind, I ask that you review the objectives, strategies, and, in particular, the metrics for each university goal, and provide us with your feedback.
As you review the materials, it is important to recognize that not all objectives, strategies, and metrics will apply to your individual units or departments. Additionally, please be assured that all of the input provided to the steering group by the directors, managers, and workgroups will be part of a planning package that will be passed on to the units for consideration in the unit operational plans; nothing will be discarded or lost.
