Between October 1st and October 10th 2012, the Administration and Finance Division participated in an interview process conducted by external consultant Commtech Transformations, Inc. Interviews with employees, as well as customer groups associated with the AF Division, were undertaken to inform the ongoing strategic planning process in which the division is engaged. The overarching goal of the interviews was to provide a “snapshot” of the current state of the organization: its strengths, areas which need improvement, and comments on operations.
The interview process was conducted for the AF Division as a whole, as well as for each of its component units of Human Resource Services, Auxiliary Services, Facilities and Services, Controller/Budget, and Information and Communications Technologies. Each report contains an overview of the unit, a summary of information gathered from the unit’s employees, and results from the customer scan for the unit.
It is important to remember that while the interview process brings valuable information to the planning process, no one interview (or series of interviews) can provide a complete picture of an organization. The results shared here will be integrated into a larger picture that considers the history of the AF Division and its units.
I would like to extend my thanks to those staff, faculty, students, and customers who participated in this process – the insight gained from the interviews will help to move the AF Division forward.
Senior Vice President for Administration and Finance
